Mapping Skills

 As the term is much shorter due to SATS and the residential, the Geography this term has focussed on different skills. First, the children recapped using 4 and 6 digit references through a treasure hunt using a map of London. 

Then, they identified how to measure height on maps using contour lines. Using their knowledge and art skills they drew a mountain and then made a contour map to reflect this. 

Finally, they looked at the scale of the map. Using string they measured the distances from one place to another.
