French: ordering ice cream

 We listened to a song and highlighted the words what we knew and I was surprised by how much words  I knew and filled out a dialogue and practised ordering ice cream with our partners and played noughts and crosses when we had to say the word before we crossed it off.

Place Value - our first unit of learning in year 6 , and the children have shown a terrific understanding. Place value is the foundation of our mathematical  knowledge, and as we conclude negative numbers this week, we are looking forward to moving onto  calculating using the four operations .
