French: food vocabulary

 We finished writing down the items on that we didn’t know and then used a French / English dictionary to find the meanings. We learnt new vocabulary and practiced saying them.We then practised saying and writing what we ate and drank  in French in the past tense.

Place Value - our first unit of learning in year 6 , and the children have shown a terrific understanding. Place value is the foundation of our mathematical  knowledge, and as we conclude negative numbers this week, we are looking forward to moving onto  calculating using the four operations .
